We share information with other entities only at your explicit request.
Data is encrypted both in-transit and at-rest in our database. We follow industry best-practices to protect your information and maintain the security of our platform.
We are compliant with GDPR and CCPA standards. To comply with these standards, we collect and process your personal information in accordance with applicable laws, and you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information. Yes, you can delete your data by contacting us through the Tru Services platform. However, some data is shared with third-parties as a required part of their supply chain data, and is irrevocable once provided. Some information also cannot be deleted, and you can leearn more about the terms that apply to this data, below. You will be explicitly informed any time you are providing irrevocably committed information.
The only types of data that cannot be deleted are the registered name of your company, the jurisdiction that it is registered in, your attestation of the above facts, as well as the supply chain roles and functions that you declare. If you choose to add this information, you also irrevocably commit your certificates/licenses that you possess, however, you can update them, or ‘archive’ them by setting an expiry date.
Any data which is created and cannot be deleted will always be associated with your ‘entity record’ in the Tru system. If you choose to delete your account or account data, you can always claim that account again at a later date by proving your identity.
In the event of an acquisition or merger of Tru, your personal information may be transferred to the new entity as part of the transaction. If this happens, we will notify you before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Furthermore, Tru may also share your personal information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Tru Services, or in conducting our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security measures. These service providers may include cloud service providers, payment processors, data analysis firms, and customer support providers. We only share your personal information with these third-party service providers to the extent necessary for them to perform their services for us, and they are prohibited from using your personal information for any other purposes.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that any third-party service providers we work with are compliant with all applicable privacy laws and regulations.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or to reflect changes in applicable laws and regulations. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will provide notice through the Tru Services or by other means so that you may review the changes before continuing to use Tru Services. Your continued use of the Tru Services after any changes to this Privacy Policy indicates your agreement to the revised terms.
