Would Tru be useful to me?
Tru is useful to any company that is involved in the movement of goods internationally. More specifically, companies that: sell, move, or represent highly regulated goods, are new to international shipping, have a new vendor, have a new product, have new ownership, have not recently conducted a compliance check-up, or want to bolster their compliance efforts.
Why do I need Tru? My logistics provider/customs broker handles my compliance documentation.
It is the Importer of Record (IOR) who bears ultimate responsibility for the compliance of the goods during import. You have a responsibility to your customers, and to your business, to ensure compliance.
No one knows your business better than you. Your logistics company are only able to secure your shipment based on information furnished to them. Tru will tell you what information is relevant to your partners and check for things you may have overlooked.
Even if your logistics provider or customs broker assists with compliance requirements during shipment, you are still liable. Tru adds an additional layer of protection between you and your partners, including checking if they are compliant.
I don't have a compliance issue right now — why should I care?
When a compliance problem arises during shipment, penalties, fees, and delays are likely to occur. Taking preventative measures, like implementing Tru, will help reduce or eliminate the likelihood of compliance issues, cutting down on unexpected costs and excessive back and forth between you and your logistics provider/customs broker.
How do I get started?
To get started, all you need to do is provide a list of the vendors that you deal with directly, and connect your product catalog. Tru will then guide you through creating, curating, and collating the necessary information to get compliant. Lastly, Tru continuously monitors regulations relevant to your supply chain, helping you stay compliant automatically. Compliance on cruise control.
We are including a white-glove onboarding for early users to ensure smooth integration into your existing processes at no additional cost.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay for your subscription directly in the platform. We accept all major forms of payment. You can also organize payment by bank transfer by speaking with your account representative.
